The documentary integrates the narratives of the elderly and the enormous life transitions they have gone through, to reflect the significant changes in Tibet. The contrast between recent and archival footage is left for Chinese and international audiences to ponder. To be accepted and recognized by people of different cultures, it abandons the standard voice-over style, and is edited to be a cinematic documentary. The film records the video and voices of the main characters, who are now in their 70s to 90s.
