对于印度人来说，去英国留学是项传统选择。而现在，这一传统已经遭到“看似不可能的对手”冲击。《印度时报》7日报道称，最新数据显示，印度赴中国留学的人数超过赴英国的。2016年，有18171名印度学生在华留学，而在英国这一数字为18015名。The Times of India reported 7th that the latest figures show that the number of Indian students studying in China exceeds that of the UK。 In 2016， 18，171 Indian students studied in China， compared with 18，015 in the UK。
尽管自2010年以来就有大量印度留学生到中国学习医学，但印度专家认为，这一最新转变是因为印度医学院校录取标准的变化。新录取标准让很多人猝不及防，与其奋力争取全国录取考试，不如赴华学习。
留学专家帕蒂巴说，中国是高性价比的留学目的国，其医学学位被印度医务委员会承认，又是英文授课。“对大多数印度学生来说，中国是个不错的选择。如果去俄罗斯，印度学生就会面临语言问题。”
“中国制造印度医生”，这从几年前就开始成为一种趋势。《印度时报》7日称，不过现在还有另外一个变化：很多印度学生开始到中国学习工程学。MM咨询公司总监马瑞亚说：“印度留学生的选择正向工程领域扩散，很多印度人咨询中国大学的计算机课程。”
2015年，在中国的印度留学生超过13500名，印度跻身赴华留学人数前十名的国家。《印度时报》说，与此同时，英国修改毕业后工作签证的措施，令其受欢迎程度大减。“除了留学费用不像西方国家那么高之外，中国还提供工作机会”，印度教育顾问古普塔称，越来越多中国大学开始在世界大学排名中占有一席，也表明中国具有全球化的教育质量。
《印度时报》报道称，事实上，中国现在已经成为继美国和英国之后，最受留学生青睐的国家。韩国持续成为在华留学生最多的国家，其次是美国和泰国，巴基斯坦和印度紧随其后。
十年前，中国还不是大多数国际留学生的目标，但现在，随着高等教育领域的突飞猛进，中国每年吸引大量留学生。他们大多数学习人文和医学。

Before coming to China， I always thought of it as a manufacturing hub and a place full of hardworking and dedicated people。 I chose to study here because Chinese market is huge and people here don’t shy away from experimenting。 Hence， I opted to study in China to see and learn all these things。
我现在住在上海，这也是我最喜欢的城市。上海是中国的金融中心，也是中国与国际的交汇点，这里的年轻人能得到更多的发展机会。
The city I like best is also the city that I currently live in – Shanghai。 Shanghai is a city which has a blend of Chinese and international flavor。 Being the financial capital of China， this place has immense opportunities for youngsters。
来到上海的第二天晚上，我和一群中国朋友一起吃晚餐。我被他们点的菜量吓到了，在我看来根本不可能吃完这么多东西。他们让我把每一道菜都尝了一遍，我撑得几乎走不动路了。
On the second day after I arrived at Shanghai， I dined with 10 other Chinese friends。 Firstly， I was surprised by the amount of food they had ordered。 It was impossible for 11 people to finish all that in one go。 Secondly， they all made me eat and taste all the dishes and by the end of the dinner I was so full that I could hardly move from my place。
中国和印度两国最大的相似之处是两国年轻一代与他们的父辈有着不同的爱好和习惯，而且他们都十分尊重本国独有的文化。
The biggest similarities between China and India would be the fact that the youngsters do respect their own culture even though they have tastes and habits different from their preceding generations。
来到中国后，我变得越来越有耐心，也学会了用更好的方式处理生活中的各种不确定。毕业后，我打算继续留在中国工作。我相信这个国家有许多有趣的机会。
After coming to China， I have become more patient and have learnt to deal with uncertainties in life in a much better way。 I would definitely want to stay in China for work after my MBA as this country offers many interesting opportunities。
