在斋月来临之际，周剑大使接受卡塔尔主流媒体采访，向卡人民及当地穆斯林致以斋月祝贺。4月13、14日，卡《海湾时报》、《旗帜报》、《祖国报》、《路赛报》等主流媒体纷纷刊发采访内容，并在其官方推特账号播发有关视频。全文如下：

驻有关国家使领馆的斋月祝福来啦！

值此斋月来临之际，我谨代表中国政府和人民，向塔米姆埃米尔、哈马德埃米尔、阿卜杜拉副埃米尔以及兄弟的卡塔尔人民和广大在卡穆斯林民众致以诚挚问候和美好祝福！

我从小生长在穆斯林社区，对伊斯兰文化有着天然的亲近感。对于穆斯林来说，斋月是一年中最神圣和吉祥的月份，是净化心灵，扬善止恶，彰显伊斯兰教文明仁爱、团结互助的重要时段。

此时此刻，包括新疆在内的2300多万中国穆斯林民众同卡塔尔及全球穆斯林一样，都期盼着这个吉祥的月份。新疆穆斯林会在平静祥和中感受斋月的洗礼，他们白天封斋、虔诚敬主，傍晚开斋后亲朋好友围坐在一起，载歌载舞、共享美食。一些穆斯林朋友还会在街边铺上精美的地毯，放上美味的烤馕、抓饭和瓜果，同大家一同庆祝开斋的幸福时刻。

今年的斋月注定是不平凡的斋月。新冠疫情仍在持续蔓延，抗击疫情人人有责，暂时的隐忍克制是为了日后更好的相聚。希望大家遵循政府和专家的指导建议，勤洗手、多锻炼、减少不必要外出，这也是伊斯兰教奉献精神的生动诠释。让我们团结合作，携手早日战胜疫情。希望疫情过后，我们能如往常一样，尽情享受欢聚的美好时光。

在这个喜庆的时刻，我再次祝愿兄弟的卡塔尔繁荣富强！祝卡塔尔人民斋月吉庆、幸福安康！

In the name of the holy month of Ramadan, on behalf ofChinese government and people, I would like to extend our sincere greetings andbest wishes to His Highness the Emir, His Highness the Father Emir, HisHighness the Deputy Emir, to the brotherly Qatari people and all Muslims inQatar.

Growing up in a Muslim community, I have a natural affinityfor Islamic culture. For Muslims, Ramadan is the holiest and most auspiciousmonth of the year. It is an important time to purify the spirit, to promotegood and stop evil, and to demonstrate the benevolence and solidarity of theIslamic civilization.

At this very moment, more than 23 million Chinese Muslims,including those in Xinjiang, are looking forward to this holy month, just likeMuslims in Qatar and around the world. Muslims in Xinjiang observe this holymonth in peace and tranquility, fasting and praying during the day, anddancing, singing and sharing food with friends and families in the eveningafter Iftar. Some Muslim friends will lay delicate carpets on the streets withdelicious naan, pilaf and fruits to celebrate the happy moment of breakingfast.

This Ramadan is an unusual one. As Covid-19 is stillspreading, it has become everyone’s responsibility to fight against the virus. Temporary restraint is for a better reunion in thefuture. We hope that everyone will follow the guidance of the government, washhands frequently, do more exercise, and reduce unnecessary outing. This is alsoa great illustration of the spirit of Islamic devotion. Let us joint hands toovercome the pandemic at an early date, so that we can enjoy a happy timetogether as usual.

On this joyous occasion, let me once again wish thebrotherly Qatar prosperity and success. I wish the Qatari people a blessed andjoyful holy month of Ramadan!
