12月10日—15日，万众瞩目的第三届海上丝绸之路国际艺术节将在泉州举行！这场以海丝艺术、非遗瑰宝为主线的艺术盛会再一次聚焦了全世界的目光。
当前中华人民共和国文化部认定的国际艺术节仅有三个，包括上海国际艺术节、西安陆上丝绸之路国际艺术节，另外一个就是永久落户泉州的海上丝绸之路国际艺术节。

伴随着海上丝绸之路，各国使节、商人、传教士的频繁往来，古波斯、阿拉伯、印度和东南亚等多种文化在泉州广泛传播，并与中原文化、古闽越文化、域外文化、华侨文化、宗教文化、海洋文化等等汇合交融，形成泉州独有的东西方文明兼容并蓄、多元文化相熔一炉的文化奇观。
With the frequent exchanges of diplomatic envoys, businessmen and missionaries from different countries along the Maritime Silk Road, cultures of ancient Persia, Arabia, India and Southeast Asia were widely spread in Quanzhou, which integrated with the Central Plains culture, ancient Fujian culture, foreign culture, overseas Chinese culture, religious culture and marine culture, forming the unique phenomenon of Eastern and Western civilization’s inclusiveness and multi-cultural melting.
南音源于唐，成于宋，是中国历史最悠久的汉族古乐，入选联合国教科文组织“人类非物质文化遗产代表作名录”；泉州提线木偶戏，入选联合国保护非物质文化遗产公约“优秀实践名册”。
Nanyin Music, considered as the oldest Chinese ancient music, originated in the Tang Dynasty and peaked in the Song Dynasty, was inscribed on the Representative List of Intangible Heritage of Humanity; QuanZhou String puppet playing was selected on the Register of Good Safeguarding Practices of UNESCO.
